I wasn't always sure if I would like to donate an organ. But after researching organ donation for a research assignment, I gained insight as to the great need there is for organs and skin tissue in South Africa and the role that young adults play. I feel that if young adults were better informed about organ donation, they would perhaps provide consent to donate an organ. My heart goes out to the many South Africans who are diagnosed with organ failure. I'm proud to say that I'm willing to donate an organ!
I have always wanted to be an organ donor. I think I'm not the greatest of candidates because of all my health issues but I would still like to do it. You are correct in saying that people would do something about organ donation if we actually knew what donating an organ entailed.
ReplyDeleteI have not considered this and will not donate an organ just because I believe that I need to leave this earth with all my organs no-one can persuade me otherwise however I have thought about donating blood.
