Whitney Houston's death

On Sunday morning, my boyfriend conveyed the news of Whitney Houston's death to me. To confirm, I then immediately googled it. I was completely shocked, and still now it feel so unreal. Ever since I can remember, I've known of Whitney Houston. I always admired her singing talent and her contribution to the music industry, she truly inspired the world with her voice. Her drug abuse destroyed her God - given image and talent, but will not destroy her legacy of music she left behind. Rest in Peace Whitney, you will not be forgotten.

Two men walk out of a building and into a story

(looknfrwrd.wordpress.com)

On the 29 February, four years ago, intern gynochologists, Jeffery and Robert delivered a baby in the back of a taxi, on the N1 of Cape Town. But was unable to save the life of the mother. On that day, same as any other day, they took a taxi home from the hospital. Whilst sitting in bumper - to - bumper traffic, a woman who was eight months pregnant went in labour. Unable to wait for the paramedics, Jeffery and Robert carefully assisted each other with the delivery of a female baby. The baby was named Hope. An ordinary day which led Jeffery and Robert to be at the right place at the right time.

Day dreaming...

(diverso.images9.com)
How wonderful wouldn't it be if I could win the lotto. I'm talking about R65 million cash! Wow!!!! I wouldn't have to work for another day in my life. What an awesome thought hey. What will I do with all that money? I'm sure if spent wisely, the money could/would last me a life time. But what are the chances of actually winning the lottery? The statitics of winning the lottery is actually quite depressing, you have about 1 in a million shot of winning the jackpot and that spoils the fun of "day dreaming". Sometimes, it's just fun just to take a break from reality and wonder "what if" for a while. So do it, it's good, clean, harmless fun. However, don't do it toooo often because day dreaming with no action, will get you nowhere in life.

How hard is it to follow instructions?

(codinghorror.com)
Well, it's not rockets science, but has mostly got to do with one's attention span and communication skills. smiling, nodding and hearing gets you nowhere other than doing the complete opposite of what was instructed. effective listening, and paying attention to detail makes following instructions relatively easy I'd say.
And often times people tend to hear only what they want to hear, as to what instructions to follow. This causes great confusion a leaves the whole situation misinterpreted for both the sender and receiver.
